Cape Veterinary Clinic has been serving the South Portland and Cape Elizabeth communities for over 40 years! During that time we have developed strong relationships with our long-time, loyal clientele.   • Dr. Dawn Davis

    Dr. Dawn Davis

    Dr. Dawn Davis is a true southern gal; she was raised in Mississippi and graduated from Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She started practicing in central Maine and then made her way here to the Cape Vet Clinic and worked with Doctors Carol and Eric Robison. In 2007 she purchased the Cape Vet Clinic with Dr. Flahive.

    Dr. Davis enjoys nurturing her Southern roots, playing the guitar, and listening to bad 80’s rock.

  • Dr. William Flahive

    Dr. William Flahive is a co-owner of the Cape Vet Clinic. He is a Maine native but received his degree from Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After a practical internship in Washington DC, the pull of his home town was ultimately too strong and Dr. Flahive came back to southern Maine.

    Dr. Flahive enjoys being active in the community, playing the guitar, running, and spending time with his three kids.

  • Dr. Tamara Hunzicker

    Dr. Tamara Hunzicker was born and raised in Ohio, and graduated from The Ohio State University. She eventually left the Buckeye State and completed an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York and a medical residency at Tufts University. She worked in private practices in New York and Massachusetts, then came to Maine and began working at the Cape Vet Clinic in 1998.

    Dr. Hunzicker is an avid gardener and always takes time off at the beginning of each Spring to plant her garden, which features around 1200 flowers and plants!

  • Dr. Asha Rozario

    Asha Rozario was raised in Bangor, Maine and graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After completing a small animal rotating internship at VCA South Weymouth, Massachusetts, she worked for the Intown Veterinary Group from 2010-2015, where she practiced emergency medicine and general practice. 

    She is happy to be back in her home state, and loves spending time with her family, friends, and beagle mix. She also loves to rock climb, hike, and impress others with her knowledge of 80's music.

  • Dr. Meg Fritz

    Meg Fritz is originally from Hilton, New York. After graduating from the University of Findlay, she moved to St. Kitts and attended Ross University for Veterinary Medicine. She then came back state-side and completed her clinical rotations at Auburn University.

    Dr. Fritz enjoys spending time with her two yellow labs, Marlee and Benny, and her St. Kitts cat, Jax. She also loves spending time outdoors, enjoying Maine's beautiful weather.

  • Dr. Linda Hornig

    Dr. Linda Hornig

    Dr. Linda Hornig is originally from New Hampshire. After graduating from Harvard, she spent some time in Alaska with the Fish and Game Department and then decided to go back to school. She graduated from the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell and made her way to Maine. She worked at Cape Vet Clinic from 1995-2005 and then rejoined our team in 2009.

    Dr. Hornig enjoys technology, playing the oboe, close inspection of palm trees in winter, and all things whippet.

  • Tamara Jones

    Tamara Jones

    Tam is a familiar face around here; she’s been a part of the Cape Vet family since 2007. She came to us from Florida and graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a degree in English. Though you can still catch her at the front desk from time to time, she now spends most of her time upstairs in the office as our new Office Manager. Tam enjoys anything Harry Potter, hiking with her family, playing with her daughter, and is obsessed with her dog, Piglet.

    Jessica Libby

    Jessica is our long-time technician. She’s been a part of our team since graduating from Wheaton College in 2006 with a degree in Psychobiology. In addition to loving animals, Jessica is a true artist: she paints, sings, plays instruments, and participates in local theater.
  • Tammy Palardis

    Tammy Palardis

    Tammy has many years of experience as a technician; she joined our team in 2010. She is originally from Massachusetts and graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1996 with a BS in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Immediately upon joining our team, she put her love of organization to use and helped arrange our clinic in a more efficient manner. Tammy enjoys anything crafty.
  • Melissa Bolobanic

    Melissa Bolobanic

    Melissa started as a kennel kid in South Berwick and worked her way up the ranks, receiving most of her training hands-on. She is currently taking classes towards getting her veterinary technician license. Melissa also works part time in critical care at a local emergency clinic.
  • Elissa Lowell

    Elissa Lowell

    Elissa came to us in 2013 after graduating from the University of Maine at Augusta as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. In 2015 she helped pilot our internship program with SMCC and has taken several interns under her wing. Elissa enjoys photography, driving her scooter in beautiful weather, and spending time with her friends, family, 3 cats, and 3-legged dog. 
  • Elise Rosa

    Elise Rosa

    Elise worked here as a receptionist for a couple of years before going back to school. She completed the Veterinary Assistant Program at Southern Maine Community College and then came back to Cape Vet to sharpen her skills. Elise loves to listen to music, go to concerts, and collect vinyl records. She also paints, and enjoys art, nature, and karaoke!
  • Evan Brinkman

    Evan is originally from Pennsylvania, and graduated from YTI as a Veterinary Technician in 2015. He really wanted to move to Maine, so he dipped his toes in the pool by completing his internship here and decided to make it permanent. Evan enjoys hanging out with friends and spending time with his dog, Brooks. 
  • Liz Leo

    Liz grew up right here in Maine, and is a Portland native! In 2015 she graduated from the Veterinary Technician Assistant program at Southern Maine Community College and completed her internship here; we liked her so much, we had to keep her! With two young kids, she doesn't have much time for hobbies, but she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
  • Stephanie Sutton

    Stephanie Sutton

    Stephanie is originally from Maine, but lived all over the United States after she attended Kent State University. She enjoys being outdoors, especially in her garden, where she likes to dance with her dog August. She loves her mom and apple pie, and is known around the office as the best Dilly Bean canner around!
  • Sadie Hyden

    Sadie grew up as a sort of rolling stone, moving 20 times in 21 years. She's lived all over the US, but has finally put down roots here in Maine. She joined our team in 2015 as our first ever Kennel Assistant and has proven to be an asset to our practice. She is currently planning her wedding, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her cats, and watching Game of Thrones. 
  • Pot Pie

    Pot Pie joined our staff in 2015 and has made herself right at home! She is gentle and silly, gives great hugs, and is the best stress reliever our practice could have asked for! To sum up, she's purrrfect!
