Dr. Harry Braeuer

Dr. Braeuer used to work for Cape Vet years ago and is back to take over as Medical Director.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine, he has just enough Texas twang to be interesting. But he has lived and practiced in Maine for over 20 years—including Greater Portland and Lewiston/Auburn. He is adept at working in primary care and emergency practices and is a skilled surgeon.

Dr. Braeuer will be an asset to Cape Vet and over the years of knowing him, he has proven himself to be versatile, flexible, and compassionate. He loves cats and in turn, they seem to like him! They respond well to his easy-going manner. Our canine patients also approve, and he is quickly developing a fan base in the community. 

He currently resides in Scarborough with his wife of thirty years, with whom he shares four adult children and multiple Siamese cats.
